Care Instructions
The simple recommendations below will help to prolong the life of your new artificial lawn and will keep it looking good well into the future.
Remove debris
Gently broom, rake or use a blower on your grass to remove leaves and twigs and prevent the build-up of dust and dirt, ensuring that you don’t remove the sand in the process.
Hose down your grass
This will keep your grass clean, improve the drainage properties and cool the grass down in hot weather. The grass can get a little slippery when wet so exercise caution.
Clean up after your pets
Pick up and dispose of any animal droppings. You can use a solution of 1 part chlorine to 20 parts water to remove any odours caused by your pets.
Hose off or wipe up spills
Most spills can be hosed off, but sugary or greasy food and sugary drinks might need to be wiped up with warm soapy water and gently hosed off.
Keep petrol and hot objects away
Petrol, sparks and hot coals can damage your grass so keep them well away.
Don’t drive heavy machinery/vehicles on your grass
Heavy machinery or vehicles can displace and stretch your lawn.
Check for mould
If wet debris forms a skin on the grass it can become prone to mould or algae. Treat the grass with a mould or algae killer then remove any residue with a rake and broom.
Check the sand level
Over time, the sand infill can become uneven or low. Let us know if your grass needs a refill of sand or a power broom to get it back to its original condition.
Dealing with weeds
Sometimes weeds can encroach on your grass. Check regularly and weed by hand or use a domestic weed killer, then remove any residue with a rake and broom.
